The fourth release covered 1948 to 2020, with files from the Department of Energy, Air Force, Navy, FBI and NASA.
On July 10, 2026, the Department of War published its fourth PURSUE release on WAR.GOV/UFO.
What was in it
The documents date from 1948 to 2020 and come from the Department of Energy, the Air Force, the Navy, the FBI and NASA. Like earlier releases, the batch mixes mostly unredacted historical documents and videos with recent firsthand testimony from civilians and military personnel. It included a 1949 Los Alamos transcript about the famous green fireballs and a previously unreleased infrared video from the western United States in 1996.
Easy to download
For researchers, the Department also posted the full release as a single downloadable archive.
