When defense and aerospace companies grow, they need facilities and their employees need homes. CompleteRE Holdings focuses on the real estate side of that growth.
Defense and aerospace growth is usually measured in contracts and production lines. But every new contract also shows up somewhere else: in the buildings companies operate from and the homes their people live in. When a manufacturer adds a shift, it needs space. When it hires, those new employees need places to live.
That is the part of the story CompleteRE Holdings focuses on.
A national priority on people and places
The Department of War treats workforce and housing as part of readiness. Its National Defense Industrial Strategy implementation plan names "developing the workforce of the future" as one of four strategic priorities, with the aim of fostering a more agile, resilient and competitive defense industrial base. The department's own strategic plan includes an objective to ensure all service members and their families are housed in clean, comfortable and safe housing.
As the defense industrial base grows, communities are feeling it. Area Development, a leading site-selection publication, has observed that communities must produce skilled workers and build sufficient housing to keep pace, and that housing policy and workforce policy have become inseparable. CSIS, meanwhile, has reported that the United States has made meaningful progress toward placing the industrial base on a wartime footing.
What CompleteRE Holdings is
CompleteRE Holdings is the real estate subsidiary of Complete Financial Solutions. It is positioned as an acquisition platform for real estate, and it has already completed real estate acquisitions together with Complete Financial Solutions. Details of the real estate transactions completed over the last two years can be found in Complete Financial Solutions' recent financial filings.
Why real estate belongs in a defense-focused group
Complete Financial Solutions acquires companies across defense, aerospace and munitions. As those companies grow, their real estate needs grow with them:
- Commercial space for manufacturing, warehousing, offices and testing
- Housing for the engineers, machinists and skilled trades they hire
- Supporting infrastructure in the communities where that growth happens
Having real estate capability inside the same group means we can think about those needs alongside the businesses that create them.
Planned financing services
Looking ahead, CompleteRE Holdings plans to offer residential and commercial real estate financing. The intent is to help employees of growing companies find housing, and to help businesses secure the facilities they need.
These financing services are planned and are not offered today. When they launch, the aim is to open access to more cost-effective capital through institutional groups, the public markets and the more than a dozen investment bankers in our syndicate network.
Part of the whole
CompleteRE is one piece of a larger design. Our other subsidiaries acquire the companies that build for America's defense. CompleteRE focuses on the ground they stand on and the communities their people call home. As the group grows, we expect those two sides to reinforce each other.
