Demand for American munitions has outpaced the capacity to make them. Complete Armory Solutions is focused on helping U.S.-based munitions and armory manufacturers scale to meet it.
Over the past few years, demand for munitions has grown sharply. Artillery shells, small-arms ammunition and air defense interceptors are all in high demand, and the United States has launched one of the most ambitious efforts in a generation to expand American production.
Much of that effort depends on smaller and mid-sized American manufacturers that make components, rounds, energetics and the equipment that goes with them. That is where Complete Armory Solutions focuses.
A national push to build more
The 155mm artillery shell has become the clearest example of that push. Defense One reported that the U.S. Army has nearly tripled its production of 155mm howitzer shells since the war in Ukraine began, and the Army has set a goal of producing 100,000 rounds per month.
The Army has said that reaching that goal will require further investment in metal parts manufacturing, load-assemble-pack facilities and propellant production. Each of those areas depends on capable manufacturers, skilled workers and certified processes. That is exactly the kind of capacity American industry can help build.
What Complete Armory Solutions does
Complete Armory Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of Complete Financial Solutions. Its focus areas are:
- Weapons and ammunition
- Air defense
- Training and support
- Scaling U.S.-based munitions and armory manufacturers
The goal is simple to state: help capable American manufacturers produce more, faster, in support of the U.S. Armed Forces and the agencies that depend on them.
Capital to answer the call
Many munitions manufacturers have more opportunity in front of them than they can fund. Scaling a munitions line takes equipment, facilities, certified workers and time. Contracts rarely pay up front, so manufacturers often borrow at high rates to buy materials and hire people before they get paid.
How a public parent helps
When a manufacturer becomes part of Complete Financial Solutions, it joins a U.S. public company. That opens access to more cost-effective capital through the public markets, institutional funding groups and the more than a dozen investment bankers in our syndicate network.
For an armory manufacturer, that can mean the ability to expand a line and answer the nation's call for more production.
What we look for
Across the group, we look for U.S. companies with roughly $25 million in annual revenue on the low end, preferably $50 million, up to about $500 million, with margins in the 10% to 20% range. In the armory space, we pay particular attention to manufacturers with proven quality, the right certifications and room to expand capacity.
Built here, for here
Expanding America's munitions base is a long-term national effort, and no single company will do it alone. Our role is to bring capable American manufacturers together under one platform, help them access the capital to scale, and keep the work on U.S. soil.
If you run a U.S. munitions or armory manufacturer and you are winning more work than you can fund, we would like to talk.
